This is just a quick vid. of a Buick sled I've been ironing out,.
I'll be posting some pix of what was needed to get it to this point and follow it up with pix of it finished.
from here the car will get block sanded again and urethane primer applied,.I will be edging out the hood,.deck,.and door jams in black and getting it back so that the motor and trans can be put be in,. I'll get it back and do a final block sand and then its on to a base clear Black paint job,.color sand and buff,.
The fit and finish on this with some fresh black skin should be nothing less then SEXY,....
for those of you interested in the painting process,. I will be posting a step by step photo log of this job,..
If this is your first look in,.. I posted a couple pix of this job earlier in the blog showing its first arrival,.after the body work was finished and in primer,.. and with the preliminary artwork/design work sketch on,.
Here I have the base flake down ,. its now ready for a color sand and for me to get to laying out the panel design for the up coming candy's and fades,.
after years of hate raining down on my poor mail box from kids / people that have nothing better to do,. I finally decided to put up a new one,.not that I had much of a choice in the matter,. the old one wasn't doing a very good job holding my mail any longer,.. so I went down to the hardware store grabbed a black mail box,.and with the aid of some white one shot,. my pounce tool,. and some other assorted hand tools. my mail carrier is much happier,..and I got to do something fun for my self ,.as small as it was,..
A little update on some stuff going down for twisted choppers,.. body works all set and I put everything in a coat of poly prime,. block sanded and started my preliminary design drawing on the tank to get a feel for what I'm looking for and what my customer is up for / in to,..
Flake,.candy panles,. maybe some leaf,.and fill in where needed with striping,..
This is a tank I'm working on ,. customer wanted it Frisco style,. so I moved the tunnel down so that it runs parallel to the frame and cut some panels to fill in and flatten out the tank he sent me,..
I have to put a different filler neck in and then its on to bodywork ,.prime ,.and the works,. ( flake ,.candy,.leaf,.striping ) just how I like um,..
