update : Variegated leaf flames

after letting the leaf set up a little I sprayed  a couple coats of clear on to protect it,.

let it set to dry and then re wet sanded to prep for the pinstriping,..

I started with the frames and now its time for some free form lines.

Just got these down,..

little by little 

its coming together..

3rd set of pix Metal Flake

well,. I think I'm finished with the panel work anyway..

 The last set of panels I sprayed in violet candy over the cobalt blue,..Its hard to see in the pix but

it has a nice purple hit to it,.. 

 Now its on to wetsanding and the leaf flames

 I masked out my base design,. sprayed my cobalt candy,. came back in with a bit of violate candy to darken the edges and also added some texture to the main panels with some transparent black.

I applied a couple coats of clear to help bury some edges . 

  

Know its on to wet sanding ,.masking out the secondarily panels and the leaf flames..

V Rod Muscle

Here are some pix of an other project I'm in the middle of  completing the concept drawing/layout on.

Its on a V Rod Muscle.

At this stage I  have painted,.cleared ,.wetsanded,.applied a liquid spray mask and  have spent a few hours in to hand drawing my design on,. I still need to finish some design work and then its on to hand cutting and some time with the air brush,.. 

Metal Flake For Australia

A sneak peak @ the concept drawing for a Flake job I'm in the process of  doing.

I like to draw my ideas on the sheet metal a head of time.

 It helps me to work out any bugs in the design that I may not like, and gives me a little time to reflect on it.

 If I want to change anything ,.Much easier now,. then later.. 

Colors scheme on this job is going to be Blue candy with a hit of purple to darken my fogs/panels ,. along with a blue toned variegated leaf flame and some off setting pinstriping,. we'll have to see what color hits me when I'm at that stage.. : )
