48 Buick sled

 one step closer to final finish.

Base /guide coat down,. I painted the car in a single stage urethane to get one last good look at the body,. body lines and gaps,. plus it makes for a great sealer .   

the cars sets out side to cure for a few days in the sun,.

then its on to one last blocking session ,.and final finish ( 2 coats base and clear coat )

I normally don't talk shit,. but come on,...WTF,.!!! is this what motorcycling has come to,..?? REALLY..??

I thought it was bad enough when i saw that fucked up Christmas bike from occ.. 

I just hope it was built for some Wallywood " B " flick...even so,.. Mother Fucker ..PLEASE..

update : Variegated leaf flames

after letting the leaf set up a little I sprayed  a couple coats of clear on to protect it,.

let it set to dry and then re wet sanded to prep for the pinstriping,..

I started with the frames and now its time for some free form lines.

Just got these down,..

well,. I think I'm finished with the panel work anyway..

 The last set of panels I sprayed in violet candy over the cobalt blue,..Its hard to see in the pix but

it has a nice purple hit to it,.. 

 Now its on to wetsanding and the leaf flames
